Our team of engineers, project management and shop trades have worked on some of the largest projects around the world, supplying structural steelwork and prefabricated modules to onshore and offshore projects.
Our fabrication shop is central to our yard operations in Teesside with 4,500m2 of covered fabrication space and a further 11,000m2 of external laydown and construction areas.
With single lift capacity of 80Te and a maximum footprint of up to 30m x 15m per single module, Barrier can fabricate large structures before loading out at the nearby deepwater quay for onward shipping via barge or suitable vessel. Where single modules are required over 30m, this can be facilitated by designing split modules which are later connected and assembly on site.
We can provide our design and engineering service provision as early engagement, taking full design responsibility for the structure and any additional disciplines or we can provide build-to-print fabrication services where engineering is by others.
We have extensive experience in loading out large structures and undertake installation of Seafastenings and other deck furniture with our own skilled team.
